Terms of service
These terms apply to everyone who uses WireWhy at wirewhy.com. Please read them with the Privacy notice and the Refund policy.
1. Who we are
WireWhy is run by DevUnit.pl Mateusz Hinca, ul. Arcangela Corellego 17/12, 03-289 Warszawa, Polska, NIP 839-312-42-45, REGON 368565464 ("we"). You can reach us at wirewhysupport@gmail.com.
2. The service
WireWhy is an electrical wiring simulator for learning: you build circuits on a canvas, the simulation calculates what happens, and WireWhy explains why. It runs in a current web browser with JavaScript on a computer, tablet, or phone, over an internet connection.
WireWhy is a training tool. It is not a design, calculation, or certification tool, and its results must not be used to design, build, test, or approve real installations. Work on real installations needs a qualified electrician and the applicable standards.
3. Free and paid plans
Most of WireWhy is free and needs no account. Some features are part of paid plans (Basic, Teacher, and School); the plans page in the app and the pricing on this website show what each plan includes and costs. We may change which features are free or paid; a change never takes away, during a period you have paid for, what you paid for.
While WireWhy is in beta, paid features may be available free of charge. They are marked with the plan they belong to.
4. Accounts
You need an account for paid plans and for saving circuits online. Sign-in is provided by Microsoft Entra External ID (with an email code, a password, or Google). Keep your sign-in details to yourself; you are responsible for what happens in your account.
If you are under 16, ask a parent or guardian before you create an account. Students joining a class session or an exercise never need an account.
You can delete your account at any time in the Account dialog. An account cannot be deleted while a subscription still renews: cancel it first.
5. Buying a plan
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Paddle's buyer terms apply to your purchase; the price you see at checkout includes the taxes that apply to you.
Plans are monthly subscriptions and renew automatically each month until you cancel. You can cancel at any time with Manage subscription in the Account dialog; your plan then stays active until the end of the month you have paid for, and you are not charged again.
A free trial, where offered, needs no payment details and ends by itself; nothing is charged. Each account can try each plan once.
Schools can buy a School plan by invoice; the terms of that purchase are agreed with the school.
Refunds are described in the Refund policy.
6. Your content
Circuits, exercises, and messages you create remain yours. So that we can run the service, you allow us to store, copy, and show them as the features you use require: a shared link shows the circuit to anyone who has the link; a published exercise can be opened by anyone with its link; circuits saved to your account are visible only to you.
Do not put personal information about yourself or others into circuit titles, labels, or exercises. Shared circuits are kept so that links keep working; ask us at wirewhysupport@gmail.com to remove one.
7. Acceptable use
Do not use WireWhy to break the law, to share content that infringes someone else's rights or is offensive, to attack or overload the service, to get around the limits of a plan, or to access other people's accounts or data. We may remove content and suspend accounts that do.
8. Availability and changes
We work to keep WireWhy available and correct, but we cannot promise that it will always be available or free of errors. We may change, add, or remove features. If we stop offering a paid plan, we tell you in advance and refund the unused part of a period you have paid for.
9. Liability
If you are a consumer, nothing in these terms limits the rights the law gives you. We are not responsible for damage caused by using WireWhy's results on real installations (see section 2).
If you use WireWhy for a business, our total liability is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, except where the law does not allow this limit.
10. Complaints
Send complaints about the service to wirewhysupport@gmail.com, describing the problem. We answer within 14 days. Complaints about a payment can also go to Paddle, which handles orders and refunds.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms, for example when we add features or when the law changes. We announce important changes on the website and in the app at least 14 days before they take effect; if you do not agree, you can cancel your subscription and delete your account before then.
12. Law
These terms are governed by Polish law. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you may bring a claim in the courts there.
